Melanoma

Well, I'm not going to go into details but, basically I'm two stages away from having skin cancer on my leg. And I want to know if Melanoma is curable. I know it isn't curable in dogs, but I don't know about humans. I also know a lot of people have died from Melanoma, and to be honest, I'm scared. Yes it's two stages away but still... so, can anyone tell me if Melanoma is curable? I'd look online but the internet isn't as reliable as one would think.
